Not that I need another project but I am so jealous about the braided rug book and the material you bought to make one. What great finds! Do you plan on making one or do you have experience with making these?

Hi Selena. I don’t have any experience with braiding. I’ve been interested in trying it. I would like to do a rectangle rug shape, instead of the traditional oval. The bag of material that I got was intended for placemats, so there’s not enough to make a rug; of course it could be a start. I am fascinated by the way the fabric looks in strips, jumbled together. I was trying to think of something sculptural to do with them.

I love your photo of the tangled fabric strips! And of course the bright textile on the chair. I also like the cream horse — thought it was a horse at least. Congrats on your finds.
