The future is now.
In case you don't already know there's a brilliant new drama called The Last Enemy on Masterpiece Contemporary, on PBS. It's a five part series with the finale airing tomorrow night; Sunday November 2nd. You can watch the first four episodes online at PBS.org. The production values — writing, direction, sets — are superb, and the cast, including my favorite Robert Carlyle, is totally engaging.

Hi Sylvie,
I’m just catching up on your blog (a direct result of going through old emails). I really appreciate your take on the Breast Cancer Awareness month/ drug companies/pitches for war etc. I’m so glad you thought to write those comments which I feel are so smart and appropriate.
I’m intrigued by your interest and recommendation for this show. I’m sure it’s good and probably a much better use of my TV time than many of the things I watch. I’ll take a look at the online version. I think the broadcast version is past my (farmer’s) bedtime anyway.
In turn I think you might like The Secret Life of Bees. I just saw that last night. The art direction is really wonderful and I do find something mystical and wonderful about bees and honey.

Of course I’m going to write you an extra long email now Scott!
Thanks Ma. I’m afraid I’ll be one of those people living in the underground warehouse, ha.LikeLike
