Well, due to two compelling factors — business is booming and I underestimated the volume of treasures to liquidate — Blossom Home will remain open through the month of October. Yippee! I’m so thrilled. This gives me the chance to meet more sweet bloggers, like Margot and Lauren! Hope to see you there!

I just bought an antique couch similar to the color of this one, and I don’t have a lot of natural light in my living room, do you have any suggestions about what color to paint the walls??

Dear Christina,
I sympathize with you. The room in my photo is a north-facing room and there’s just a few short months of the year that it has some light. Painting the room a golden tone would help to warm it. Benjamin Moore has some good choices in their AURA/Affinity line, like Honeymoon AF-345,Rattan AF-375. Mind you, I’ve only seen those online so I don’t if that’s truly how they look. But you can at least get the idea of what I’m suggesting.
Also, if you look at the wallpaper in my photo, that’s a good example of some warm tones. It has a warm yellow background with an orange-red pattern.
A stylist from the New York Times Magazine wanted to buy my sofa to use for fashion shoots. I ended up selling it to a woman from San Francisco, for her own personal use. She’s thrilled 🙂
Happy decorating. I love your taste, and your blog!LikeLike
