I was absolutely thrilled and perfectly giddy to discover this sweet shop and design studio on the first day of Spring. Most appropriate, as the space is blooming with colorful treats. Storefront & Studio is a joint effort by two talented and creative women, Anne Richardson and Kathleen Shaeffer.
Kathleen is a landscape designer who has been creating engaging soulful gardens since 1990. Her work has an intrinsic emphasis on stimulating the senses — throughout the seasons. The landscaping in front of the shop is designed by her and inside you'll find her succulent arrangements for sale as well as a selection of gardening books.
Anne is a graphic and interior designer with a whimsical flair and playful eye. She stocks the shop with original and artistic new items as well as precious vintage pieces, all selected with a special consideration for their "green" value. As Anne puts it, "We specialize in sustainable, well-designed and handmade items that are useful, playful and beautiful." Indeed. Take a peek inside:
