I have a lead for a housesit in Menorca, Spain. Here are the details:
"
We need a house sitter for house, one dog, one
cat, 2 birds and baby tortoises. Beautiful, laid
back Mediterranean island. Very quiet, good for
walking, writing, painting, relaxing, "getting
away from it all". Central heating and large
wood burner. DVD player and all other creature
comforts. This is a non-paying situation."

Dear Sylvie,
I do not know the text whether I exactly understands.
Somebody searches a person who maintains the animals? And one may take vacation in the house?
We consider since weeks whether we on Menorca vacation make!!!!
However, I do not know whether we the right person would be.
It is a pity that you cannot come with your mother.
Menorca is thus a nice island…..

Hi, my friend just told me about this and we are very interested! We have lots of animals at home so we are used to tending to them. That would be no problem! How long would we need to be there? My husband speaks fluent Spanish so there wouldn’t be the language barrier! We have heard amazing things about Spain from several friends who have traveled there and would be so excited to experience it for ourselves! Please let me know the details!!! Thanks!

depending on the details, i might pursue that great housesitting opportunity. i am moving, too (in two weeks), but would love to be able to do this!

Oh, my. This looks like heaven. Depending when and how long, we´d love to do this. We have animals ourselves so this would be no problem at all. We have done home exchanges before so references are available. We´re in Europe though – don´t know whether this is an offer only for US residents..
By the way Sylvie, your new house looks wonderful! The garden is so beautiful!

Love to know more! Love animals and of course love Spain… I am an artist and writer and could so totally see myself sitting outside paint a masterpiece, or going through my notes for my upcoming book. I speak french, spanish and english and Japanese.Am very trustworthy and have references. Need to know how long and area of residence.
