No interior designer should be without this book:

Book

We have so many books in our home that I've rewritten the story of the Three Little Pigs: the first pig built his house out of straw, the second pig used wood, the third pig chose bricks, but the forth little pig was a clever little pig, "I defy you to blow down my house of books!"

Books Do Furnish A Room, by Leslie Geddes-Brown, shows traditional and inventive ways to store and display books. It gives you permission to revel in your piles on the floor, wallow in your stacks on every horizontal surface, and fortify your walls to the rafters with literary lust.

    Bonjour Sylvie!
I’m coming out of lurking to say hello. I enjoy reading your blog, live in the area (Santa Cruz Mountains, Los Gatos), and had the happy chance to visit your shop in LG before you closed it. Unfortunately you were not in the shop, but your husband and son were.
This book that you mention looks terrific, and I hope to check it out soon. My family loves books, and we are always trying to figure out how to live with them.
I’m a painter and also have a family. I love your blog and your aesthetic. I just wanted to say hello!
