Spent a beautiful day with my beautiful son Jesse on his 29th (!) Birthday. We started the day with crepes at a sun-drenched restaurant, followed by a hike across the land at UCSC with a rich view of the entire Monterey Bay. The sun was glistening, glass-like, on the ocean. It was perfect t-shirt weather. A glorious hot day that makes you say, "Now this is California!" Feliz Cumpleaรฑos Jesse boy! Nice to see you shining.

Looking back at some baby photos…

Okay. Need to take a new photo with 'big boy' skateboard.

Happy Birthday Jessmo!

Here's a song for you Jess (from my favorite Scottish Soul singer, Paolo Nutini).  I know you'll appreciate that the song, believe it or not, is about mota.

"It was in love I was created and in love is how I hope I'll die…"

You must have been a very, very young mother…it’s hard to believe you have a 29 year old! You make beautiful babies.

And you my dear make beautiful comments ๐Ÿ™‚
I was 23 when I had Jesse, but people stopped me on the street regularly saying that I was too young to have a baby!
I couldn’t figure it out, but now I see it. I looked like I was about 15!
